This Privacy Policy explains how Kollara Enterprises Private Limited, which operates the Linen Trail brand (“Linen Trail”, “we”, “us” or “our”), collects, uses, shares and protects your personal information when you visit linentrail.com (the “Site”), contact us, or buy from us.

Information we collect
In this policy, “Personal Information” means any information that can identify you, including the information listed below.
Device information
- What we collect: web browser version, IP address, time zone, cookie information, the pages and products you view, search terms, and how you interact with the Site.
- Why: to load the Site correctly for you, to analyse and improve how the Site performs, and to measure and personalise our advertising.
- How: collected automatically through cookies, log files, web beacons, tags and pixels.
- Shared with: Shopify, Google (Analytics and Ads), Meta (Facebook and Instagram), Klaviyo, and BooleanMaths (our marketing analytics provider).
Order information
- What we collect: name, billing address, shipping address, email address, phone number and payment information.
- Why: to process your payment, make and ship your order, send invoices and order confirmations, communicate with you about your order, screen orders for fraud and, where you have agreed, send you information and offers about our products.
- How: collected from you.
- Shared with: Shopify; our payment partners Razorpay, PhonePe, BharatX and SnapMint; our messaging providers BiteSpeed; and our courier partners, such as Blue Dart, Delhivery, Shree Maruti, Amazon, Aramex and DHL Express.
Your card details are entered directly with our payment partners. We do not receive or store your full card number.
Customer support information
- What we collect: name, email address, phone number, order details, and the messages and photos you send us, including on WhatsApp.
- Why: to answer your questions and handle exchanges, returns and refunds.
- How: collected from you.
- Shared with: only the service providers needed to resolve your request, such as a courier arranging a reverse pickup.
Children
The Site is not intended for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect Personal Information from children. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has given us Personal Information, please email care@linentrail.com and we will delete it.
Sharing Personal Information
We share Personal Information with the service providers listed above so they can help us run our store and fulfil our contract with you. For example:
- We use Shopify to power our online store. You can read how Shopify uses Personal Information here: https://www.shopify.com/legal/privacy.
- We may share Personal Information to comply with applicable laws and regulations, to respond to a court order, summons, search warrant or other lawful request, or to protect our rights.
Advertising and analytics
We use Personal Information to show you advertisements and marketing messages we believe may interest you, and to measure how well they work. For example:

- Meta Pixel and Conversions API help us measure our Facebook and Instagram ads and show relevant ads. The Conversions API sends events such as purchases, with contact details in hashed (scrambled) form, from our systems directly to Meta. - BooleanMaths uses Site activity and order data to tell us which campaigns lead to sales.

Using Personal Information
We use your Personal Information to provide our services to you. This includes offering products for sale, processing payments, making, shipping and delivering your order, and keeping you up to date on new products, services and offers.
Legal basis — India
Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, we process your Personal Information either with your consent, or for the specific purpose for which you voluntarily gave it to us, such as placing an order. We also process it where the law requires us to.
Legal basis — European Economic Area and United Kingdom
If you are in the European Economic Area (EEA) or the United Kingdom, we process your Personal Information under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and UK GDPR on these legal bases:
- your consent;
- the performance of the contract between you and us;
- compliance with our legal obligations;
- to protect your vital interests;
- to perform a task carried out in the public interest;
- our legitimate interests, where these do not override your fundamental rights and freedoms.
Retention
We keep order and invoice records for as long as we need them to fulfil your order and handle exchanges, returns and refunds, and for as long as Indian tax and company law requires us to keep them. We keep the information we use for marketing until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it. We delete or anonymise other Personal Information once we no longer need it for the purpose it was collected for.
Your rights
If you are in India
Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you have the right to:
- get a summary of the Personal Information we hold about you and who we have shared it with;
- correct, complete or update your Personal Information;
- ask us to erase your Personal Information, unless the law requires us to keep it;
- withdraw your consent at any time, as easily as you gave it (this does not affect processing done before you withdrew);
- nominate another person to exercise these rights for you in the event of your death or incapacity;
- have your grievances addressed by us and, if you are not satisfied with our response, complain to the Data Protection Board of India.
If you are in the EEA or United Kingdom
You have the right to access, correct, erase, restrict or move your Personal Information, to object to how we process it, and to withdraw your consent at any time. You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.
Stopping marketing messages
You can stop marketing emails or messages at any time by using the unsubscribe link in any message, or by emailing care@linentrail.com with the subject “Stop Promotions”.
How to make a request
Email care@linentrail.com with the subject “Privacy request”. We may need to verify your identity before acting on your request. We will respond within the time required by applicable law.
International transfers
Some of our service providers, including Shopify, Google, Meta and Klaviyo, store and process data outside India, including in the United States, Canada and the European Union. Where the law requires, these transfers are protected by appropriate safeguards, such as the standard contractual clauses our providers offer.
Security
We use reasonable security safeguards to protect your Personal Information. Payments are processed by our payment partners over encrypted connections, and we do not store full card numbers. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. If a data breach affects your Personal Information, we will notify you and the relevant authorities as required by law.
Automatic decision-making
If you are in the EEA or United Kingdom, you have the right to object to decisions based solely on automated processing (including profiling) that have a legal or similarly significant effect on you.
We do not make fully automated decisions that have a legal or similarly significant effect on you using customer data.
Our provider Shopify uses limited automated decision-making to prevent fraud. This does not have a legal or similarly significant effect on you. It includes:
- a temporary block list of IP addresses linked to repeated failed transactions, which lasts a few hours;
- a temporary block list of credit cards linked to blocked IP addresses, which lasts a few days.
Cookies
A cookie is a small piece of information that is downloaded to your computer or device when you visit our Site. We use functional, performance, advertising, and social media or content cookies. Cookies remember your actions and preferences (such as login and region), so you don’t have to re-enter them on each visit or page. They also tell us how people use the Site, for example whether it is their first visit.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time, for example to reflect changes to our practices or for other operational, legal or regulatory reasons. We will post the updated policy on this page with a new “Last updated” date.
